Fall Awaits

As summer comes to a close and the weather begins to cool signs of fall starts to emerge. Walking outside you can see leaves falling from the trees, and even though it still may be warm outside cool breezes are blowing. The squirrels are scurrying about looking chunkier than ever because they know that once fall arrives winter is close behind. Of course, it won’t be long before we start seeing everything with “pumpkin spice” in the title either!

Fall is one my favorite seasons. Once the weather starts to get cooler, there’s nothing like a warm cup of tea or apple cider! Here in Kentucky, the scenery is so beautiful when the trees start to change. They all seem as they’ve been set ablaze! Pumpkins, hay bails, and scarecrows out for decorations always make me happy. Then come the holidays; Halloween being the first!

Halloween just happens to be my favorite holiday (next to Christmas of course)! The history behind it and just the smile it can bring to a child gives me joy. It has evolved over the years with new traditions.

Being away from the blog has given me time to explore many things, one being graphic design! If there is anything about me, you should know it’s that I’m a curious person. There’s nothing I’m not willing to learn if I get interested enough! If I was Alice and this was Wonderland, I don’t think I’d ever get home

There was an amazing class on Creativelive that piqued my interest, and I couldn’t resist! Design Surface Patterns from Scratch taught by Bonnie Christine from the blog Going Home to Roost. If you guys are interested in taking some classes from Creativelive, you should check out their website.

Now everyone knows practice makes perfect, and because I need to practice you guys reap the benefits! Since everyone has been getting into coloring lately, I decided to create some coloring pages. However, these aren’t your ordinary coloring pages! I’ve made these so you can craft with them!

The first one I’m releasing is called Pumpkin Ivy. I’ve arranged it so you can cut out the elements after coloring and attach them to the pumpkin! You can print off multiple pages and have a pumpkin palooza! Oh, and don’t forget the kids because I’m sure they would love this!

According to the weatherman fall doesn’t “officially” start until September 22nd, but to me, it’s already begun!

For All the Photographers!

If you love photography or have an interest in the subject from September 26th – 29th Creativelive will have Photography Week. All week they will have special photography classes available for FREE! How amazing is that! All you need to do is hop over to their website to RSVP for the courses!
